About the role: We are currently seeking an Cyber Risk Specialist, Data Protection at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, MO The Cyber Risk Specialist, Data Protection oversees the data protection programs, platforms and compliance of related Peabody standards. The individual will work with business units to improve and audit compliance of data protection practices as well as work alongside business leaders to ensure corporate compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. The Cyber Risk Specialist, Data Protection works under the Identity and Access Management team to ensure authorization, authentication and accountability to company data access is strictly controlled. The role will also support additional Identity and Access Management tasks as needed. Duties will Include: Improve existing data protection, and compliance programs and processes. Develop, review, and modify information security documentation as it relates to data protection, and compliance Design, execute, and monitor audit procedures to assess and measure company compliance with its data protection and compliance initiatives Audit IT processes and procedures to ensure compliance with security and data protection standards including applications and systems Monitor advancements in data protections laws to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance Collect, analyze, and prepare reports required for regulators and other relevant stakeholders Work with business leaders to ensure data protection risk findings are reviewed and solutions are implemented Support user training and awareness regarding the data protection and compliance programs alongside the Cybersecurity Risk Specialist that oversees security awareness training program Support Identity and Access Management programs and platforms The lifestyle: This position is a full-time role working Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm CST. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office/home working arrangements. About you: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Technology or a related field. Preferred: Industry certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, and/or CompTIA Security Experience Preferred: 1 year of related experience in Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field. A combination of education and experience may be accepted Ability to research and stay up to date with Data Protection, Risk and compliance trends, as well as changing government and state laws Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment Must be able to use a computer Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Salary: $65k- $80k About Peabody: Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.
