WEEKEND DISPATCHER'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage a team of drivers encompassing part of the dispatch board
  • Responsible for assigning pickups and deliveries and service all customers in a specific geographic area
  • Ensure operational compliance regarding overall pick up and delivery performance
  • Champion driver retention and customer issues with the ability to resolve issues quickly and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to field driver calls and quickly resolve operational challenges
  • Answer customer phone calls and emails and provide top notch customer service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 1-2 years of prior dispatch or asset fleet experience
  • Knowledge of freight movement and geography of the US
  • Knowledge of equipment required for transportation and pricing of movements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to surround customers with excellent service
  • Ability to multitask and good organizational skills
  • This position is for weekends which Friday through Monday, 7:00 AM till 7:00 PM (4 days on, 3 days off)
