Summary Job Statement

Provides HR Generalist support to the HR Manager at the Peoria and Roanoke facilities. Advises and consults team members and line leaders on personnel issues, including performance management, employee development and conduct, internal investigations, etc., delivering training. Assists with special projects and travels as required (up to 50% between facilities) due to business demands. Executes HR plans and programs to ensure most effective utilization; applies law and regulation knowledge as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Recruitment Program; ensuring the continuous flow of qualified candidates
  • Assists with personnel relations issues including investigations; administering corrective actions; assisting with unemployment claim information and unemployment hearings; assisting with completing employee transactions, and providing guidance and support to local supervisors and management.
  • Creates and presents team members training sessions or HR-related meetings
  • Assists with HR data management and reporting functions
  • Assists with special projects
  • Collaborates with HR Manager to identify opportunities, trends, and propose action plans

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Some college work or an associate's degree strongly desired; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Two year's related experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel between facilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point) a must.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to multitask and maintain and high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with management.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations and CFRs. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, and the general public.
  • Ability to perform and apply concepts of basic math, algebra, and metric calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English
  • Additional duties as assigned
