Advises hospital management status of patient care, budgetary projections and quality improvement processes. Anticipates and estimates futures needs of the department to improve quality of patient care. Provides leadership, managerial support and direction for achieving strategic goals and providing excellent patient care.

Required Experience

Work Experience:

  • Seven years supervisory or management experience required.
  • Ten years direct patient care experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital/healthcare setting required.

License/Registration/Certification:

  • Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
  • Current CPR training.
  • National Certification as a Nurse Leader, Nurse Executive or Nursing Professional Development highly preferred.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing required.
  • Masters degree, preferably in Nurse Administration or Business Administration, required.

Qualifications:
