The Sanitation Technician will execute the tasks on the master sanitation schedule and cleaning equipment while using CIP procedures. This position requires efficient and effective communication, collaboration with operations, maintenance, and internal management.

Hours: 6am-6:30pm

Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 schedule

Location: Beloit, WI

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performs equipment cleaning per CIP Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, utilizing a computer software system.
  • Performs plant cleaning as outlined by the Master Sanitation Schedule. Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of the plant.
  • Disassembles and reassembles filters, screens, and other processing equipment.
  • Handling and use of chemicals including acids, chlorine, caustics, and quats.
  • Testing and recording of chemical concentrations.
  • Visual inspection of equipment.
  • Performs clean equipment swabbing.
  • Comply with appropriate safety procedures. Maintains and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Overtime and weekends may be required.
  • Self-Motivated.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industry-standard cleaning procedures.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and allergens.
  • Establish positive working relationships with Lyons' management and senior support personnel.
  • Will perform other duties as required
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
  • High safety standards.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Patience in dealing with people and problems on the equipment.
Education and/or Experience :
  • High school or equivalent
  • 1 Year of setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
