Position Summary
Summary:
The Administrative Nursing Supervisor, acting as an Administrative Representative, ensures efficient operations, facilitates and supports nursing and interdisciplinary care standards in alignment with the organizations mission, values and philosophy. The ANS coordinates interdepartmental resources: supports, guides and serves as clinical consultant; provides resources for problem solving in emergency situations and assumes the role of Incident Commander in the event of hospital emergencies, during the day, evening, night and weekend hours.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing
• BA/BS required, MS/MA preferred
• Must complete internal Nursing Orientation program successfully and in a timely manner
Experience And Skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Clinical experience and/or skills relevant to the assigned area of practice
• Highly developed skills in leadership, public relations, teambuilding, problem solving, decision-making, conflict management, analytical skills and critical thinking abilities
• Computer proficiency
License/Certifications
• Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
• Certifications for assigned area of practice: BLS
• Nurse Executive (ANCC) or Certified Nurse Manager & Leader (AONE) or appropriate clinical/specialty certification preferred
• NIMS: National Incident Management System (IS-100.HC, IS-200.HC, IS-700)
