- 1-3 years' experience as a cardiac sonographer is required
- AHA BLS
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in cardiac ultrasound Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Completion of a 2-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent education
- Previous health care related such as CNA EMT PCA or other is preferred
