Our client is seeking a skilled technician to repair and refurbish previously used equipment, including industrial ovens, environmental testing chambers, and pharmaceutical equipment.

This is an immediate 1st Shift Opening: 6am - 2:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lay out reference points for the installation of structural and functional components.
- Drill holes and install mounting brackets and hangers into the floor and walls of equipment.
- Lift or hoist and align components into position.
- Assemble structural and functional components such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring harnesses, valves, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes by screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, and brazing parts.
- Coordinate and participate in installing units or systems to be tested in test fixtures, connecting valves, pumps, hydraulic, mechanical, or electrical controls, cabling, tubing, power sources, and indicating instruments.
- Start systems, observe operations, read gauges and instruments, and adjust mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control the level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in systems.
- Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components.
- Replace or adjust defective or worn parts to repair systems.
- Insulate shells and cabinets of systems.
- Install wiring to connect components to electric power sources.
- Activate controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test items to successive steps in the test cycle.
- Monitor controls and instruments and record test data for engineers' use.
- Record test data, apply statistical quality control procedures, evaluate data, and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within equipment capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair units that do not function according to specifications prior to shipment.

Job Requirements

- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Knowledge of BPCS or manufacturing software and MS Office.
- Universal Refrigeration certification and/or an Electrical certificate/training, especially working with high voltage power, may be required depending upon the position.
- Other Qualifications: Forklift experience desirable or a willingness to obtain a license and must be willing to work overtime on an as-needed basis to maintain production deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand and climb or balance. Occasionally required to walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: Regularly exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
