Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Sr. Financial Modeling Analyst. The Senior Financial Modeling Analyst will be a key contributor in developing, enhancing, and validating financial models, ensuring the company's financial planning aligns with strategic and operational objectives. The Sr. Analyst will work closely with various teams to develop forecasting models and provide insights that support business growth and enhance profitability.

What you'd be doing:

Financial Forecasting Models
  • Develop and maintain effective financial forecasting models, including SageSure's comprehensive corporate model.
  • Outline input collection schedule and collaborate internally to meet reporting requirements.
  • Verify and update model assumptions by analyzing monthly variance reports.
  • Deliver models at agreed upon cadence with key executive takeaways.
  • Augment models with potential scenario plans.
Financial Analysis
  • Identify and communicate financial risks detected by models.
  • Provide key insights and findings to senior management through data analysis and financial dashboards.
  • Help develop Board and executive-level presentations on financial results and projections.
Additional Support
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities across the FP&A team.
  • Support the development and implementation of new analytical tools and systems.
  • Create and update process documentation and control narratives.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
We're looking for someone who has:
  • Education: BS Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in financial analysis or a related analytical role.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex modeling and data analysis).
    • Basic proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
    • Proficient in Excel macros, XML, SQL programming, and Power Query.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Highly preferred candidates also have:
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
