What:
  • We're hiring a Part-Time Preschool Assistant
  • Job Function: Be an Aide to a student with a disability - helping them learn, socialize, play, do crafts, participate.
  • Class has a Teacher and TA. Your focus is supporting one child 1:1 (the same student all week, every week).
  • Title: Inclusion Support Staff
Where:
  • Park District Pre-School in Glen Ellyn.
Hours/Schedule:
  • Weekdays (Mon - Fri)
  • Mon & Fri: 8:30a - 11:30a ; Tue, Wed, Thurs: 8:30a - 2:00p (On T/W/Th: Preschool ends at 11:30 but is followed by Playtime until 2pm)
  • 22 total hours weekly
  • Ideal candidate would be available for all 5 days a week during the shifts listed above.
  • You would begin in early January. Please commit for the duration of the school year (Ends May 2025).

Qualifications:
  • Experience providing direct support to individuals with special needs.
  • Effective communication with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Classroom or daycare experience is preferred.
  • Age 16+, with access to transportation.
