Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Position Summary:

Responsible for supporting Aquarium information systems including but not limited to employee workstations, servers, network appliances, audiovisual equipment, and point-of-sale hardware. Serves as a general Help Desk role for the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience
  • At least one year of office experience, preferably in an IT or system maintenance role
  • At least one year of experience supporting user hardware and software
  • CompTIA ITF+ certified
Critical Skills/Competencies:
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Familiar with Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Basic understanding of networks and audiovisual systems
  • Strong understanding of how to support Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiar with asset management best practices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal oversight
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for working alongside the IT Systems Administrator to support Aquarium information systems.
  • Assist in the logging and tracking of Aquarium assets including periodic audits to ensure proper internal controls and efficiency.
  • Set up, operate, teardown, and maintain televisions, screens, lighting, and audio components throughout the Aquarium.
  • Maintain conference and boardroom projectors, computers, and other AV devices.
  • Maintain and repair 4D theater components including seat effects (air, water, and scent sprayers), effect computers, and projector.
  • Regularly check in with the Guest Services team and maintain point-of-sale hardware (this includes Boca ticket printers; Evolis card printers, barcode scanners, receipt printers, credit card readers, cameras, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands of the Job:
  • This job requires extended periods of standing and walking as well as periods of sitting with data entry.
  • Work outside of regular business hours including on weekendsandholidayswill beexpected on occasion.
  • The job will be 100% onsite at LLPA. The candidate is expected to be on-call and available outside of normal business hours.
  • You may be working aroundwater, salt, power tools, and animals.
