IT Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Specialist to support our Charlotte, NC office, but will support our global workforce. The ideal person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment and relishes the opportunity to provide timely solutions to meet business needs.
In This Role You Will:
- Support our growing workforce by managing inventory, logistics, and our Employee Life Cycle:
- Create accounts and grant access to internal resources
- Prepare devices for new employees
- Partner with HR and IT with employee separations
- Provide white-glove service to Discovery Education colleagues:
- Teach team members how to use new tools
- Test new tools and features
- Administration of IT systems:
- Macs and PCs (Windows 10/11), iOS and Android devices
- Mobile Device Management
- Office 365, Zoom (Meetings, Webinars, and Phone), Slack
- Printers (sorry, everyone must print sometimes)
- Work with our vendors to ensure a great experience for everyone
- Other cool tools we'll find
- Learn every day:
- You also probably break stuff every day, just to find out how to fix it
- Equipment Inventory Management
- Equipment Refresh Replacement and Schedule
- Technical Skills:
- Experience in supporting OS X and Windows-based systems and hardware (3 years plus)
- Experience with scripting is a big differentiator
- Experience working remotely with users of varied technical experience (~1 year)
- Administration of Office 365 and office tools for at least a year and familiarity with GSuite
- Knowledge of client-side network troubleshooting and Interested in network switches and firewalls (Network± Level but no cert required) (1 year plus)
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Intune, Jamf, or Mosyle Business
- Soft Skills:
- Top-notch communication skills - both written and verbal. Your colleagues love working with you and you love to help them
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Driven, self-motivated contributor with ownership mentality, with ability to work well within a team
- Certifications Microsoft AZ-900, AZ-103 beneficial
- CompTIA Network+ or CCNA beneficial but not required
- Some travel may be required.
- Legal right to work in the United States
