Title: Corporate Paralegal
Location: Stevens Point
Salary Range: $25-$28/hour
Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Paralegal to join our client's in-house legal team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to attorneys focusing on insurance industry matters. This will include filing documentation, organizing and maintaining legal files, drafting various legal documents and performing a variety of legal related administrative tasks.
Essential Duties of the job will:
- Assist with commercial contracting and vendor management matters
- Assist with insurance-related filings
- Assist with management of the company's environmental, social and governance initiatives
- Assist with management of non-financial audits
- Assist in the drafting, review, and revision of legal documents, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Analyze and manage insurance claims, including investigating potential fraud.
- Maintain and organize corporate legal documents electronically and in paper format
- Assist with legal aspects of corporate governance and risk management
- Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal tasks
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, underwriters, and other internal stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on legal developments relevant to the industry
Requirements: Paralegal certificate or associate's degree in paralegal studies required
Minimum of 2 years of experience working (preferably) in a corporate legal department or insurance industry setting
Understanding of insurance law and regulations
Excellent research, writing, and editing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research databases
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
