We are actively seeking highly motivated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team on a locum tenens basis as we open the doors to our brand new emergency department in the vibrant Florida community near San Antonio. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture of excellence and delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. Working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, you'll ensure timely and effective interventions for every patient who enters our doors.
The Cutting-Edge Emergency Department
This brand new emergency department boasts a modern and well-equipped environment, featuring:
- High Patient Volume: Approximately 11,500 anticipated annual patient visits, keeping you engaged and challenged.
- 24/7 Physician Coverage: Guaranteeing consistent and seamless patient care around the clock.
- Spacious and Private Exam Rooms: Offering comfort and confidentiality for patient evaluations (12 private rooms).
- Dedicated Trauma Room: Equipped with the latest technology to handle critical injuries efficiently.
- On-Site Diagnostics: Featuring a CT scanner, ultrasound, and x-ray for immediate and accurate diagnoses.
- On-Site Laboratory Services: Enabling swift results for prompt treatment decisions.
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine (BC/EM) or board certified in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine (BC/IM/FM) with a minimum of 5 years of Emergency Medicine experience.
- Active Florida medical license is mandatory.
- A passion for emergency medicine, a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, and a desire to be part of a new and exciting venture are essential.
- You possess strong clinical skills and extensive experience managing a diverse range of medical emergencies.
- Excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are necessary for making critical decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team is a must in this fast-paced environment.
