Work Shift: Night
Senior Orthopedic Clinical Nurse: Join our team in the elective orthopedics unit, caring for post-surgical and orthopedic trauma patients. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating a compassionate environment for patients and demonstrate sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for patients
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
