myOrthos & Hanover Orthodontics are looking for two motivated Orthodontic Assistants to join our team The Orthodontic Assistant is responsible for providing support to an Orthodontist including patient care and chairside assistance. This position executes on treatment plans with patients and families.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to the Orthodontist while performing procedures including ensuring necessary tools.
- Meet with patients, inquire about their braces experience, and any issues.
- Cleaning, sterilizing and set up of instruments and appliances.
- Prepare tooth impressions and assist in attachment of brackets, bans and wires.
- Assist with office duties including maintenance of patient records, ordering supplies, answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Attention to detail and familiarity with patient software programs
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Certified as an Orthodontic Assistant by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of Dental Assisting or Orthodontic Assistant experience preferred
