The client's Future Digital Products group is seeking to identify a highly motivated and qualified individual for a Product Owner role.

Hybrid - This position does not require an employee to be onsite full-time to perform most effectively. The role will allow employees to work remotely but will also require onsite work based on business needs. The selected candidate will be expected to live a commutable distance to the innovation center they are selected for.

About the Future Digital Products team at Client:

Our Future Digital Product team is responsible for incubating and delivering on the next generation of ideas. The organization will work with partners to explore growth opportunities outside of the company's core, existing businesses. Members of our teams include industry-leading engineers, architects, and designers who use a variety of innovative development methodologies and technologies to achieve breakthrough results, drive innovation, and delight customers.
• Possibility for extension depending on approvals.
• This team is still being built out
• The work is going to be revolved around rapid prod typing, all software specific depending on the needs of the business
• This team works on innovation, and ideation.
• Remote, with the one day in offer per GM Work Appropriate Guidelines.
• This role is going to be a combination of independent work, however this person will also be working with other groups within GM.
• Yes, this group participates in GM Contract Worker Shutdown days

• This individual would work closely with Product Managers to map processes/technology requirements through an ideation process.
• Will use their expertise to translate outcomes into feature requirements into functional specifications and to user stories.
• Should be able to clearly document requirements that can be traced back to development and test deliverables.
• Will identify and drive both processes and solutions to meet objectives and key results and be able to communicate those requirements to the balanced teams.
• These solutions will serve internal and external customers across web and mobile app channels.
• Successful implementation of solutions will result in improvements across the entire Future Digital Products Program experience and will directly address customer experiences.
• This individual will work side-by-side with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and ideate, elicit features, document requirements, analyze and evaluate solutions options, document process flows and support strategy development.
• To be successful, you must be customer focused and able to clearly define and communicate business needs, and personally driven to improve the business.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

As Product Owner, working hand in hand with Product Managers and stakeholders/partners throughout the entire product development lifecycle is key, with a focus on requirements identification, requirements gathering and story writing.

The main activities of the role are:
• To define the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap for the nominated product(s) and their desired outcomes.
• Set and communicate a clear vision and Release Plan for the product(s) to the team.
• Constant prioritization of the Product Backlog based on customer feedback, market changes and business priority.
• Figure out appropriate product Release Dates and Content
• Form an active collaborative partnership with stakeholders

In addition, key accountabilities and tasks are:

Product Vision and Backlog Management
• Working with the product team to provide clear vision of roadmap pivoting where necessary, providing direction and priority of the Product Backlog
• Manage / Provide the Partner Sprint Schedule
• Get to know and use your product inside and out

Customer Satisfaction:
• Provide the team with clear information on whom the current and potential customers are, as well as the how, why, when, and with whom they use the product.
• Establish transparency with teams regardless of organizational boundaries
• Ensure team is developing products that meet or exceed end user expectations

Product Roadmap:
• Developing the product roadmap to deliver the agreed product(s) in line with business strategy and product management
• Communicating the roadmap and technology vision with the Team(s)

Required:
• Bachelor's degrees in various fields of study are applicable. Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Marketing, Project Management or equivalent experience
• 5+ experience in a product owner or equivalent role
• Ability to set and balance priorities efficiently.
• Ability to advocate for partners and ensure efficiencies of implementation across departments
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks
• A clear ability to manage a range of different personality types in a facilitative and mature manner
• Positive relationship building skills including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of the organization.
