Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Job Duration: 13/26 weeks Shift: Night, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of work and residence; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as primary state of residency, meet licensure requirements in home state Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Med/Tele experience, Fluent in English (speak, read, write) Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.- Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.- Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.- Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking.- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.- Contribute to quality nursing practice.- Evaluate own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.- Practice ethically.- Promote shared governance or facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion. Physical Requirements: - Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.- Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity.- Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Additional Information: - Scrub Color: Navy blue- RTO NOT Approved for 4th of July (7/3-7/5), Labor Day Weekend (Fri-Mon) (8/30-9/2), Halloween (10/31), and only 1 Holiday for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year Eve.
