Job Overview:
As a Client Support Technician (CST), you will provide technical support, design and implement network and security solutions, and manage PacketLogix services. Your role includes overseeing daily operations for their Managed IT Department, as well as working on project-based tasks like predictive wireless design, site surveys, network installations, and pre-sales assessments. This position requires close collaboration with leadership, vendors, partners, and clients, with projects ranging from small network setups to complex enterprise deployments. Based in their Warren, RI office, the role also involves local travel to client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely communication with clients, account teams, and partners while managing multiple projects and meeting appointment deadlines
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and collaborate with internal resources to generate accurate quotes and pricing proposals
- Install desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, phones, printers, networking infrastructure, and related software/firmware according to PacketLogix procedures
- Manage a fast-paced schedule and remain punctual for all appointments
- Handle multiple projects with varying timelines and requirements
- Implement wireless and network security hardware/software following PacketLogix and NIST standards
- Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting and support
- Perform repair, maintenance, and security tasks, such as cleaning components, virus removal, spam management, and software diagnostics
- Maintain precise documentation of client environments, detailed ticketing records, and accurate time tracking within the ticketing system
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- 2+ years of experience in a technical support role
- IT certification or a BS in Business & Technology
- A+, Net+, Sec+ certifications, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Azure AD/Intune, VMWare/Hyper-V Virtualization, Microsoft 365 Administration
- Experience in implementing wired and wireless networks
- Strong self-motivation, work ethic, and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Knowledge of IT security, including antivirus, firewalls, and related management tasks (deployment, maintenance, recovery)
- Ability to monitor and restore client data backups as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk/stand for extended periods, and perform strenuous physical tasks under various field conditions
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and efficient task completion in a professional office environment
