SUMMARY: This position is responsible for picking up and delivering product to and from all schools within the district in a safe and neat manner ensuring that product is maintained properly. Also responsible for the receiving and storage of all products that are used in the Nutrition program. ESSENTIAL DRIVER FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Maintain a clean and valid driver's license. * Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading. * Loading and unloading product in a safe and neat manner to make sure goods are correctly stowed. * Communicate with office. * Deliver and unload goods at required site. * Obtain a receipt for goods delivered. * Vehicle check must be done daily. Vehicle report must be completed weekly. * Hand in all gas receipts/cards upon getting gas. * Must maintain an odometer log daily. * Responsible for daily cleaning of vehicle. * No other passengers allowed in vehicle unless authorized by manager. * Must adhere to all motor vehicle laws and regulations. ESSENTIAL WAREHOUSE FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Manage all deliveries to ensure counts are accurate and product in not damaged. Must note damages, shortages and overages on delivery receipt before signing. Document discrepancies. * Ensure FIFO rules are followed rotating stock as needed * Perform daily cycle counts. Each item must be counted at least once per quarter. * Pull stock for all Elementary schools products into bins in preparation to deliver. * Substitute items as needed, report anything missing. * Coordinate between different elementary schools to replace missing items * Maintain product integrity and check shelves for appropriate inventory levels. * Checks stock physically and run usage report to identify slow moving product, or products that are outdated or damaged. * Measure all requisitioned product accurately ensuring that it is properly stored. * Ensure all pertinent paperwork is completed properly, neatly and turned in daily by team. * Ensure all areas of work environment free from any signs of potential pest evidence and or debris. * Communicate with purchasing department to keep updated on all variables regarding products. * Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Must adhere to all school district policies which include but are not limited to: time of delivery, parking, designated delivery areas and designated driving areas. * Whitsons is not responsible for any traffic violations while you are driving the company vehicle and are on company time. If you receive a traffic violation, you will be responsible for the ticket. Payrate $18.00 per hour REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: Education: * High School diploma required Certifications: * Clean unblemished drivers license required * ServSafe preferred Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: * Speak, read and write in English required * 1 year driving in professional role required PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Lifting while turning side to side is frequently necessary. * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. * Position may require extended hours including evenings and/or weekends, travel to multiple work sites. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * The work is performed primarily in the vehicle assigned to her/him. * Work requires movement in and out of storerooms and freezers * Exposure to extreme temperatures. * The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
