POSITION:

Yard Driver-2nd Shift

SUMMARY:

GRR Sumter has one open 2nd shift hourly non-exempt, Yard Driver, role. This position reports to the Tank Farm Supervisor. The position is 100% onsite. This position is responsible for relocating various containers such as trailers and tankers throughout the facility. The tasks of this individual will include, but is not limited to:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transfer Trailers, Tankers, and other containers to various areas inside the facility.
  • Perform daily inspection on Yard Truck to ensure serviceability.
  • Perform general housekeeping
  • Sample containers when needed
  • Ability to learn multiple positions
  • Perform simple maintenance tasks on pertinent equipment
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to read, write and compute basic math
  • Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening and physical
  • Must be able to don required PPE per Environmental Health and Safety guidelines
  • Overtime required
  • Ability to work in outside conditions.
Additional Desired SKILLS AND Experience:
  • Experience moving trailers, by way of yard truck, CDL experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift, up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires weekend and possible 10-hour shifts when production permits
  • Must comply with all DOT, OSHA, and RCRA requirements
