The organization requires the services of 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development, and the specifications outlined in this document. Position Overview:

We are seeking a Java Database Developer - Level III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database-driven Java applications, ensuring optimal functionality, scalability, and performance. This role requires close collaboration across teams to deliver high-performance, efficient solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Java applications with a focus on database integration, ensuring scalability and optimal performance.
  • Implement security authentication and authorization for service and user accounts.
  • Design and develop data validation rules using XSD and Schematron.
  • Collaborate across teams to integrate back-end and front-end technologies in the development of full-stack applications.
  • Analyze data requirements and provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
  • Optimize database queries and procedures in MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Design and implement Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • Manage development and deployment processes using CI/CD tools like GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8 years of hands-on experience in Java development, including extensive experience with J2EE, Servlets, and related technologies.
  • 8 years of experience developing applications using J2EE Application Servers and implementing Java security for service and user accounts.
  • 8 years of proficiency in using Servlets, Spring, and Spring Batch for web application development.
  • 8 years of experience in ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP/REST).
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD processes using GitLab, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • 4 years of experience in Full Stack Development, working with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, JSF, and PrimeFaces 7.0.
  • 4 years of experience in designing and developing XSD and Schematron data validation rules.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience with at least one application server configuration (WildFly, Tomcat, or WebLogic).
  • 4 years of expert-level understanding and hands-on experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • 4 years of experience designing and optimizing database queries and procedures in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 8 years of ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • 2 years of familiarity with Azure App Services & Cloud Services.
  • 2 years of familiarity with healthcare or State Department applications is a plus.
