- Maintains production and product quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and performs scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment during machine service.
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Identifies and corrects building and equipment problems by performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to maintain buildings and equipment in safe condition.
- Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Technical training, exposure to high speed equipment
- 2+ years of related experience working with packaging and production machinery
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying climactic conditions
- Understanding of LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures
- Attention to Detail, Organizational Skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and possess flexibility
- Must be able to work as part of a team and interact with all levels of employee both within the company and with external partners
