What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

  • Assist client with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating, and nutritional intake.
  • Report on the activities you completed with your clients and provide updates on their physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.
  • Observe patients and notify supervisors of issues requiring a change in care, medication, or medical equipment.
  • Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed.
  • Have fun and engaging conversations with clients to build relationships
  • Conversation and companionship, potential to accompany to appts, outings, and social events
  • Stand-by/assist with ambulation
  • Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment and supplies
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
  • Helping clients with grocery lists, meal prep, and planning
  • Client errands/shopping and transportation (as applicable)
  • Medication reminders
  • Lighthousekeeping assistance and support

What we need from you (Qualifications)

  • Valid CNA License
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Possess valid auto insurance (if applicable)
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly, courteous, compassionate manner
  • Bi-lingual preferred is a plus
  • Caring and compassionate

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as assigned
