Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
About the Team:
Pullman Regional Hospital's Rehabilitation Services Department, also known as Summit Therapy, is a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of highly skilled individuals. The Speech Language Pathology department cares for patients of all ages, in both locations of inpatient/acute care as well as outpatient services.

Position Overview:
Plans and administers medically prescribed treatment programs to help people of all ages with speech, language, literacy, voice, cognitive or swallowing concerns.
A Day in the Life:
- Evaluate patient function in accordance with the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) standards of practice for the delivery of speech language pathology.
- Develop and Administer therapy plans in accordance with the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) standards of practice for the delivery of speech language pathology.
- Review patient needs and adjust plan of care as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Gather pertinent patient information through taking a detailed patient history and noting relevant questions, concerns, or goals.
- Communicate and consult with other professional staff, including support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Complete continuing education requirements in a timely manner in order to maintain licensure as well as to maintain employment at Pullman Regional Hospital.
- Document in accordance with industry standards of excellence and complete all documentation within required timeframe. Monitor patient charts for required signatures and other required components to ensure a complete and accurate chart at all times.
- Attend staff meetings on a regular basis.
- Work effectively to always follow departmental and hospital infection control and safety policies and procedures. Use department and hospital equipment and resources efficiently, safely and effectively.
- Contribute to creating a safe work environment by identifying any safety concerns and actively seeking to resolve those concerns in cooperation with the Director.
This Job is For You if You Have:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Active Washington State License, or the ability to obtain upon hire.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
- Basic computer skills.
