Description for Internal Candidates Registered Nurse (RN), Charge, Day Shift, Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) 3 South UC Health is hiring a full-time Charge RN, for LTAC 3 South, for the day shift at Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care. The Charge RN will support Daniel Drake's 3 South department, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. About Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care Daniel Drake Center specializes in providing post-acute and transitional care services for patients recovering from a catastrophic injury or illness. Daniel Drake Center is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. With a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services, and research, Daniel Drake Center offers comprehensive care continuum and a variety of services to help patients throughout their recovery. Education and Experience Requirements: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Associate's Degree, minimum required Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred Current OH RN License BCLS required prior to patient contact. ACLS telemetry and certification(s) specific to medical/surgical, orthopedic, critical care or gerontological nursing desired. Job Responsibilities The Charge RN is an individual who holds a current state license to practice nursing. The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The care is culturally based and age-specific. Receives and gives a complete, concise and timely report on condition of patients to oncoming Charge Nurse. Prepares, implements, evaluates, revises and coordinates interdisciplinary plan of care for each assigned patient in a collaborative effort with the other healthcare team members
