Job Description
Position Overview:

SAMGI is seeking a skilled On-Call Surgeon for our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery program at Rideout Adventist Hospital, a respected ACS-verified Level III trauma center with over 200 beds. This role involves managing all aspects of trauma and acute care surgery patient care, including inpatient rounds, trauma activations, ACS consults, and post-operative clinic responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patient care during on-call shifts.
  • Manage elective general surgery consults and schedule cases during back-up shifts
Requirements
  • Board Certification in General Surgery.
  • Experience in trauma and acute care surgery.
  • Ability to work 24-hour shifts and respond promptly to activations and consults.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
