About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Software QA Tester to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of our interactive 3D simulations and online Lessons platform for high school and college-level education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a keen understanding of science or engineering principles.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute test plans to identify software issues related to functionality, performance, reliability, and stability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to refine software outputs and interact with educational consultants to ensure scientific accuracy and educational value.
  • Conduct both manual and automated tests to ensure software functionality meets our high standards.
  • Document all testing phases and defects, assist in troubleshooting, and provide detailed feedback for software improvements.
  • Ensure that the software meets all specifications and requirements regarding quality and safety.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in educational technology and testing strategies.
  • Help QA our Lessons website.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities Required

  • 0-2 years of experience preferred
  • Proven experience as a Software QA Tester or similar role.
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in testing interactive 3D graphics and user interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for education and technology.

Qualities We Look For

  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency with science concepts in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Experience with educational software or e-learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and scripting.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related scientific field (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Earth and Space Sciences).
