Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for a Kafka Administrator in a remote capacity. This is a long-term opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring, optimizing and administering of Confluent Kafka on Linux/AIX OS.
  • Administering on-premise Kafka platform and Kafka on cloud(AWS)
  • Provide production support for the Confluent Kafka infrastructure.
  • Provide Oncall support based on rotation.
  • Provide support for the Kafka infrastructure running on AWS.
  • Perform application upgrades, patches, able to identify and troubleshoot issues/bugs.
  • Work closely with Level 3 and applications team for project planning/upgrades.
  • Attend project meeting and provide inputs to project planning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Confluent Kafka Administrator, with working experience using Confluent Kafka Connect (JMS, JDBC), Confluent Control Center, Confluent Replicator or MirrorMaker, Confluent Kafka security (Kerberos, ACL, SSL, SASL). Confluent KSQL and schema registry.
  • Experience in Confluent Kakfa components (Connect, Schema, Registry, KSQL, ControlCenter).
  • Should have experience in creating topics/updating ACL's. Knowledge of Kafka brokers, zookeepers, Kafka connect, schema registry, KSQL, Rest proxy and Kafka Control center.
  • Provide administration and operations of the Kafka platform like provisioning, access lists Kerberos and SSL configurations.
  • Administering Kafka components using cloudera manager portal or Confluent control center.
  • Excellent knowledge of UNIX/LINUX OS administration.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Hands on experience working with Udeploy and any version control systems like Git/Github.
