Who We Are:
Our story began in 1966 when Drs. Robert Taylor, Harris Knudson, and James Lum joined together to form Taylor, Knudson & Lum, a radiology and radiation oncology practice. The practice expanded in 1969 with the additions of Dr. Francis Esposito, followed by Drs. Richard Ellis and Paul Bandt in 1971. In 1977, the practice was renamed Desert Radiologists. In 1987, the practice relocated to the 2020 Palomino Lane building and still operates as an imaging center today. The practice name was officially changed to Desert Radiology in 2017. In June 2019, Desert Radiology (DR) and Radiology Partners (RP) announced their partnership.
Desert Radiology is proud to be the official imaging partner of the Las Vegas Aces and radiology provider for numerous sports teams, including the Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Raiders. Our practice is committed to our community and supports many local non-profits like City Impact Center, Opportunity Village and Make-A-Wish of Southern Nevada. Radiology Partners, a leading physician-led and physician-owned radiology practice in the U.S., collaborates with Desert Radiology on high-impact projects to advance the field of radiology. Summary: The CT Tech performs computed tomography (CT) procedures as prescribed by a physician. Follows established techniques and methods in operating equipment and processing images. Ensures technical quality of images and exercises judgment in processing assigned work load. May assist the radiologist in performing image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures ( e.g., CT guided biopsy).
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
- Knowledge applicable to CT scanning technology with specific reference to cross-sectional anatomy, medical and surgical disease and scientific principles as applied to CT scanning
Pay range for this role is $34.00 - $45.50 per hour.
