Responsible for providing crew work direction, day-to-day work activities, monitors workflow to assist in ensuring that mandated deadlines are met. Communicate daily with project pm and complete a daily activities report. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems within commercial and industrial environments. Install control system equipment and instrumentation associated with process control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, ladder diagrams, and project specific specifications. Mechanical, structural, architectural drawings are a plus. Understanding of the operations and functions of standard electrical equipment to include transformers, MCCs, switchgear, motors, pumps, generators, transfer switches, UPS systems, low voltage systems, fire detection and suppression systems, lighting controls, relay logic, etc. PLC and automation drawings and function are a plus. Ability to perform basic electric math calculations. Thorough knowledge of the NEC electrical code and electrical theory. Understand basic electrical testing and how to use testing equipment including megohmmeter, ground resistance tester, multimeter, amp clamp, power quality analyzer, etc. Collaborate with managers, crew members, customers and third-party venders to complete pretesting and functional testing for equipment startups / commissioning activities. Responsible for the proper use and care of the contractor supplied tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction. Participates in cross training of other employees. Mentor and train crew members/apprentices through on the job instruction and industry accepted practices. [Qualifications:]{arial",sans-serif"=""} Alaska Certificate of Fitness - Journeyman Level Must hold a valid drivers license - CDL is a plus. 1+ years of experience performing as crew lead or similar leadership role. 5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial installations Knowledge of material commonly used and standard install practices, including classified locations Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to maintain documentation including daily reports, redlines, as-builts, testing reports, etc. Effective communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
