Paralegal

Our client is looking for a full-time paralegal with experience in a civil litigation office. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, capable of working well both with and without direct supervision.

Skills and responsibilities include:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task, including maintaining a docket, tracking correspondence and documents, preparing pleadings for South Carolina E-Filing and Federal PACER systems and service, preparing discovery for service, billing, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate records both electronically and physically.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to uphold confidentiality at all times.
• Strong ability to prioritize caseload and daily tasks.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with clients, both in person and over the phone.
• Schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials for multiple attorneys, and meet internal and external deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate in cross-institutional groups.

Experience Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF programs and ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
• Previous experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic.
• Previous experience working with law firm billing software is a bonus.
