Job Summary:
Dental hygienist are skilled professionals who use their knowledge and a range of abilities to help patients by providing preventive oral care to maintain a healthy smile.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPPA
  • Gather and document new patient information
  • Periodontal Charting
  • Chart dental conditions based on the doctor's observations and evaluations
  • Take X-rays and review them for signs of dental diseases
  • Reviewing patient's dental history
  • Applying fluoride treatments
  • Recommend care to improve a patient's oral health
  • Apply topical and numb when needed
  • Performing basic preventive dental procedures
  • Performing advanced cleaning procedures, including root planing and scaling

Qualifications:
  • Dental hygiene state license
  • Associate Degree
  • Ability to have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for working directly with patients.
  • Knowledge of dental, financial, and insurance terminology
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with management, staff, and patients.
  • Drive to stay up to date on the latest dental technology.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
