Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct occupational therapy programs for our agency, facilitating rehabilitation and enhancing patient performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient rehab services, adhering to established plans of care and timely documentation. This role will involve collaborating with the rehabilitation team to design appropriate therapeutic regimens and promote a safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation
  • Ensure efficient delivery of rehab services and timely documentation
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens
  • Promote a safe environment and enforce the elimination of fire and safety hazards
  • Order supplies and equipment as necessary
  • Screen, examine and evaluate patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures
  • Design, fabricate, fit and/or apply adaptive devices, and train patients in the use of adaptive devices
  • Instruct patients in the skills and techniques required for participation in functional activities
  • Perform routine reexamination as needed to modify/progress plan of treatment
  • Perform other related duties as required

Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements:

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by AOTA & ACOTE standards
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice
  • Practicing occupational therapy per state guidelines
