We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer for a permanent position at a medical facility in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures and tests to evaluate cardiac structures and hemodynamics. This role requires adherence to local/state/federal regulations and policies to guarantee optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures such as two-dimensional transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, agitated saline (bubble) studies, and ultrasound enhancing agent echocardiograms
  • Ensure that all procedures are performed in line with applicable scope and standards of practice
  • Maintain imaging equipment and adhere to proper operating standards
  • Provide patients with instructions on procedures and care before, during, and after testing
  • Follow all safety and privacy policies applicable to patient care
  • Participate in cardiac research projects that incorporate echocardiography, if required

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program
  • Level I or II certification: ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric) or RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • Level III certification: Two of the following: RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer, ACS (CCI) - Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, ARDMS - RDCS(AE) - Adult, ARDMS - RDCS(PE) - Pediatric, ARDMS - RDCS(FE) - Fetal, ARDMS - RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience for Level II and minimum of 5 years of experience for Level III
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems (i.e. EPIC, PACS, EHR)
  • Knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles and procedures and human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology as they relate to cardiac sonography

This is a part-time position with a schedule of 10 hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The position status is non-exempt. We offer competitive pay rates ranging from $65.23 to $81.53 per hour for Cardiac Sonographer I and from $68.48 to $85.60 per hour for Cardiac Sonographer II.
