Financial Analyst, Senior

Location: Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.

Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Financial Analyst, Senior is responsible for preparing financial and business related analyses and researching in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, business improvement, and business investment opportunities.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares budgets, forecasts, trend analyses and expense accruals.

  • Provides information for various monthly journal entries.

  • Compiles and prepares standard and adhoc financial reports.

  • Generate ad-hoc reports quickly and accurately for Finance team.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 1 year of experience in general accounting, financial planning, and management reporting or an approved Finance internship; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Candidate has preferably worked in the healthcare industry, however not required.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to communicate at all levels of an organization is strongly preferred.

  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Experience with large data sets to be able to manipulate and understand it to create and communicate conclusions for the finance team.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $70,400.00 to $110,400.00

Locations: District of Columbia (Washington, DC), Illinois
