Pay Rate: $50.00 - $55.00

Job Description:
  • Required Minimum 3 years' software quality assurance experience.
  • Experience testing in an iSeries (RPG) environment Strong knowledge of Client ALM and similar QA test tools.
  • Strong knowledge of a typical SDLC, as well as experience testing on Agile or DevOps teams. Experience working on QA teams as part of agile processes and methodologies.
  • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently, with different groups and teams, utilizing solid communication skills. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent testing resource planning and test scheduling skills.
  • Ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases. Ability to produce verifiable and consistent test evidence and results.
  • Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards. Software quality assurance experience.
  • Experience testing in one or more of the following environments: Cloud based testing, UI testing, functional testing, n-tier client/server, and RDBMS. Hands-on experience using Client, IBM, or other industry standard SQA tools.
  • Experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server or DB2 and the ability to write SQL queries using table joins.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, SDLC, and SQA methodology. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent test resource planning and test scheduling skills.
  • Ability to produce and mentor others in creation of effective software test plans and test cases. Ability to write quality defects and work directly with developers to resolve the defects.
  • Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards. Ability to communicate and work closely with other teams: System administration, db administration

Expectations from this role:
Create and Organize testing process based on project requirement and manage test activities within team, for the following
  • Test Estimates and Schedules. Ensure Test Coverage
  • Produce test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports to evidence for testing
  • Publish RCA reports and preventive measures
  • Ensure Quality of Deliverables
  • Report project metrics and status
  • Ensure adherence of Engineering practices, processes and standards
  • Understand and contribute to test automation/performance testing
  • Work with DevOps team, when required; to understand testing framework and QA process for implementing continuous testing

Performance Areas:
  • Supporting Organization: Ensure utilization and quality of deliverables prepared by the team. Co-ordinate Test Environment and Test Data provisioning
  • Test Design, Development, Execution: Participate in review, walkthrough, demo and obtain sign off by stakeholder. Prepare Test Summary Report for modules/features
  • Requirements Management: Analyze, Prioritize, Identify Gaps; create workflow diagrams based on Requirements/User stories
  • Manage Project: Participate in Test management. Preparing, Tracking and Reporting of Test progress based on schedule
  • Domain relevance: Identify business processes, conduct risk analysis and ensure test coverage
  • Estimate: Prepare Estimate, Schedule, Identify dependencies
  • Knowledge Management: Consume, Contribute, Review (Best Practices, Lesson learned, Retrospective)
  • Test Design, Execution: Test Plan preparation, Test Case/Script Creation, Test Execution
  • Risk Identification: Identification of risk/issues and prepare Mitigation and Contingency plans
  • Test & Defect Management: Conduct root cause and trend analysis of the defects
  • Test Planning: Identify the test scenarios with understanding of systems, interfaces and application. Identify end-to-end business critical scenarios with less support Create and review the test scenarios and prepare RTM. Prepare estimates (time /effort) based on the requirements/User stories. Identify scope of testing
  • Client Management: Define KPIs to the engagement and ensure adherence to these KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Connect: Handle monthly/weekly governance calls and represent issues for the team

Must Have:
  • iSeries/AS400 QA
  • 8 + Years of Exp in Analyzing and test new programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, and Control Language (CLP/CLLE)
