The Care Dimensions Nurse Residency Program is a transition to practice program for new graduate nurses or experienced who would like a meaningful and exciting career in hospice and palliative care. Our program focuses on creating a collaborative professional development environment where new graduate and experienced nurses can safely develop their critical thinking and nursing skills while working with our patients in a variety of settings including home care. An experienced team of clinical educators, dedicated preceptor, and experienced clinicians will support your growth as you transition into your career in hospice and palliative care nursing. You'll form meaningful relationships with your peers, as you share new experiences together.

Our Nurse Residency program helps prepare recent RN graduates or experienced nurses for a career in hospice and palliative care nursing. This paid, full-time, intensive orientation program followed by a nurse residency period (total of six months) helps bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, providing you a smoother transition into a professional nursing role.

Nurse residents will be employed at Care Dimensions during the residency and with successful completion of the residency, begin a full-time position in Case Management. At the end of the residency program, the Resident will become an active member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT), and work under the supervision of a Clinical Manager and in collaboration with the attending physician and other IDT members to coordinate all aspects of the patient's care in accordance with current professional standards and practice to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families facing a life-limiting illness. Following the Residency, a commitment to work full-time for two years is expected for all nurse residents.

You will increase confidence in your clinical skills and judgment and enhance your critical thinking, and so much more-all in a safe, nurturing environment. You will be prepared to provide meaningful care to patients at this important and vulnerable time of their lives.

Interview Process:

  • Phone Screen
  • In-Person Interviews on a rolling basis until January 10, 2025
  • Ride-along for half a day /dates to be determined
You can expect:
  • The Winter Residency cohort will formally start on Monday, February 3, 2025
  • Ongoing, one-on-one support from an RN clinical manager, educational team, instructor, and preceptor

The Pay Range listed is the anticipated hiring range of this position. Precise pay rates are determined through consideration of one or more of the following: education, training, relevant experience and work location. There are some cases in which the pay rate could exceed the range listed on this job post. Care Dimensions also offers a comprehensive benefits package - including employer-sponsored health insurance, paid time-off, tuition reimbursement, student loan paydown, supplemental insurance options and more - which adds to the company's generous total rewards package.

Pay Range

$38-$40 USD

Benefits are offered to employees that are scheduled to work 20+ hours/week, which include a generous earned time (vacation days) program, tuition reimbursement, scholarship programs, student loan paydown program, two retirement plans, in addition to medical/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, and so much more
