Medical Cardiology Nurse II

The Medical Cardiology unit is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to assess, coordinate, plan, and manage patient care needs. This role involves delivering and coordinating patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent and compassionate care is provided to patients. The Nurse will work with a diverse patient population, from young adults to geriatric patients, requiring telemetry monitoring after minimally-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures. Essential duties include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and procedures, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Previous experience as a PCA or other nursing assistance preferred
  • Ability to improve job performance through continuing education
