Sterile Processing Technician Certified

Job Description Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician Certified are multi-skilled personnel who are responsible for all duties related to cleaning and decontamination of general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment, endoscopes, and sterilization. They are responsible for the preparation & package of instrumentation, including general instruments; quality control testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment, maintaining records, and preparation and dispatch of surgical cases. They may perform assigned duties such as answering phones, cleaning, stocking, transporting, and dispensing supplies and equipment. The Sterile Processing Technician Certified has completed additional coursework and testing to be recognized as a professional in the field.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED (Required)CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management, IAHCSMM - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material management - International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management
Certified through the International Association of Healthcare Central service Material Management (IAHCSMM) and or Board for sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD). Demonstrates ability to work well with others as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and do basic mathematical calculations. Requires basic computer skills. 1+ years Experience in sterile Processing, surgery or related field. may be substituted for work Experience .
Will consider experienced Sterile Processing Technicians in lieu of certification.
