Position Overview
• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment.
• May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room.
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
• Typically reports to a registered nurse.
• Assists with patient care responsibilities on the OB unit including vital signs, assisting with toileting and ambulation, passing meal trays, setting up delivery tables, etc.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a related field.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Who We Are
Lake Granbury Medical Center is your community healthcare provider; a 73-bed facility providing complete medical care and advanced surgical procedures to Hood, Somervell, and Erath County residents. We are accredited by the Joint Commission and boast an accredited Chest Pain Center, Sleep Lab and radiology program.
