Field Sales Engineer: Technology Solutions
Location: Candidates need to be based in Northern California. Installations will be coordinated out of our Concord, California office.
Job Description:
The Field Sales Engineer (FSE) is responsible for managing installation activities before, during and post-implementation. They are also expected to oversee installation personnel related to each installation on site. FSE will be responsible for connecting, troubleshooting and ensuring devices are live and connected. FSE's will also be required to meet project deadlines and customer/management expectations, which in turn will help grow revenue in the division.
Basic Qualifications:
Knowledge of software and simple wi-fi networking
Clean driving record (DMV)- driving record will be verified with DMV
Ability to consistently lift over 50 Lbs, kneel, squat
Pass criminal background check and submit live screen fingerprints to government
Available M-F, Normal Business Hours (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and weekends as needed
Occasional out of town travel (2-3 days at a time) or evenings/weekends as needed based on customer requirements
Forklift experience is desirable, but not required
Construction experience also desirable- Use of power tools, such as powered drillers, concrete drills, etc.
Basic Job Duties:
Review customer orders in advance, plan and identify resources needed and collaborate on resource requirements and utilization with Installation Scheduler and other project coordinators of different divisions when needed
Conduct site surveys and interface with sales team, operations staff and clients
Assist in locating, evaluating and selecting subcontractors when needed, with help and approval from management
Perform installation duties
Oversee and assist team to assemble equipment, both subcontractors and staff
Plan and organize the most efficient methods for deployment
Conduct brief tailgate safety and planning meetings with team, onsite, with staff and subcontractors
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Project Lead does not directly supervise personnel, however may direct actions of multiple supporting positions on job site, such as other installers and subcontractors
Coordinate all punch list items, and ensure high-quality and on-time project completion
Ensure product returns from installations are handed back to order entry for resolution
Confirms final client acceptance and sign-off upon project completion
Determining location for on-site recycling, regional etc. and debris abatement
Participate in weekly internal status meetings with PL's from other business sectors
Additional duties as required by the position not yet specified;
Technical Duties:
On-Site Device Set-Up and Configuration
In-Person and Remote Troubleshooting of company supplied systems
Integration and Configuration of installed classroom technology systems
Punchlist resolutions and customer follow-up
Oversee, Submit and Audit all Manufacturer and Warranty related claims and correspondence
