Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Counselor sought by Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA.

Duties: Advise and assist students and provide educational guidance services for the graduate programs at LMU. Contribute to recruitment and enrollment activities, including collaboration and communication plans for recruiting, targeted messaging, and digital marketing. Provide students with information on topics such as graduate school programs, admission requirements, and financial aid opportunities. Guide prospective, applied, and admitted students through graduate program information, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration, school adjustment, and career planning. Develop specialized recruitment services and tools to support enrollment management. Research and identify the appropriate and most effective digital publications and digital marketing plans tailored for each applicant demographic and make recommendations regarding best practices and strategies for enhancing the recruitment and enrollment programs and process. Prepare prospective students for graduate school experiences by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities. Advise individuals of any problems that may affect their path to graduate school, such as academic and financial matters. Plan and conduct information sessions on graduate school admissions and career planning. Guide individuals in application strategies and interview skills. Stay abreast of trends in higher education recruitment and utilize knowledge of all LMU's SOE credentialing and degree granting programs to continually review all graduate program materials, including digital content on social medial platforms to increase candidate pools and provide comprehensive and up-to-date program information to prospective students. Continually review all program and promotional materials (digital content, information packets, inquiry responses, social media posts, etc.) and social media campaigns to ensure accuracy, clarity, and cohesiveness of School of Education graduate programs to a diverse contingent of students. Plan major recruitment events and maintain a recruitment event calendar. Analyze data on the effectiveness of the enrollment and recruitment process, as well as LMU's SOE registration data, to develop insights on enhancing and improving future graduate education program recruitment.

Requirements: Master's degree, or equivalent, in Education or a closely related field, plus one (1) year of student recruitment, student counseling or related experience developing and implementing annual strategic recruitment plans; utilizing background in K-12 education to identify potential candidate pools for recruitment and develop targeted recruitment strategies; performing market research to identify priority areas for recruitment and enrollment; counseling admitted and prospective students on enrollment options, student program involvement, and course selection; utilizing digital marketing expertise to create digital promotional materials for recruitment; reviewing and updating recruitment policies and practices to reflect diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts; planning, organizing, and overseeing campus visits and recruitment events. Telecommuting permissible 2 days a week.
