Medical Technologist

Position Overview:

MLR Healthcare is seeking a meticulous and committed Medical Technologist to become a vital part of our dynamic laboratory team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in performing a diverse array of laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring the accuracy of results that significantly affect patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex laboratory tests in areas including microbiology, hematology, chemistry, and blood banking.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test results by following established protocols and quality control measures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and offer recommendations for additional testing.
  • Document all procedures and results in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in the training and mentorship of new staff and students.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent from an accredited certifying body (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
