Clinical Nutritionist

Walden Behavioral Care is actively seeking a Clinical Nutritionist to join our team at the Dedham Center for Recovery. As a Clinical Nutritionist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nutrition assessments, prescribing meal plans, and participating in treatment team planning. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with patients and their families to promote completion of meal plans and provide effective education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing comprehensive nutrition assessments for newly admitted patients
  • Prescribing appropriate meal plans to support nutrition goals
  • Conducting individual and group nutritional therapy sessions
  • Participating in treatment team planning and discharge planning
  • Providing education to parents and families
  • Communicating progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans

Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Program or Mental Health setting is preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed Dietitian with the state of Massachusetts (LDN)
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, motivational interviewing, and nutrition care process
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
