Position: Functional Analyst - Manufacturing

Location: Houston, TX 77007 - Onsite

Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility:  

  • Analyzing systems and business processes, recommending improvements that would increase efficiency and reduce costs for high volume Manufacturing. Provide world-class application baseload and non-baseload support for multiple company applications and locations.
  • Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items.
  • Analyze customers' business requirements and tailor the use of the system to meet those objectives.
  • Troubleshooting, requirements gathering, design, write and test applications; problem reporting; provides detailed specification and follows standard programming procedures.
  • Identifying potential risks or issues with proposed solutions and providing recommendations for addressing them
  • Manage communications, scheduling, and logistics for business and ERP specific projects.
  • Help guide technical team to deliver a flexible and scalable solution.
  • Ensure instructional materials are accurate. Provide subject matter expertise and support for end user training delivery.
  • Project???s scope and objectives, activities performed, and findings
  • Working with manufacturing team leaders to determine how best to apply modern technologies to meet organizational goals and improve efficiency
  • Respond to and resolve system failures and performance issues
  • Actively drive issue resolution and closely monitor its progress.
  • Develop, document, and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and 'lessons learned', including metrics for assess.
  • Plan and facilitate requirements sessions to identify and validate requirements with corporate IS team, IT, and business stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the integration of newly acquired businesses.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor???s degree in a computer science field. Plus 5 yrs. in or around Manufacturing process.
  • Experience in manufacturing ERP implementations/Migrations
  • Working knowledge of start to finish process from order demand to invoicing.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Software implementation, integration, update support as needed
  • Analyze and refine business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Some Travel required
