Position Description
If you love long drives, cooking for large groups, staying organized, and spending time outside; we'd love to see your application
Our Logistics Coordinators are crucial members of our team who manage the equipment, food, and transportation for our backpacking & rock-climbing expeditions in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The Logistics Coordinator (LC) works closely with others on the Logistics team and reports to the Associate Logistics Manager.
Compensation & Schedule
- This is a seasonal, exempt position with a starting wage of $128/day. Our in-house staff training is also paid at this rate.
- Training begins in May. Our main program season runs until mid/late August. We run a smaller percentage of courses through the end of September. Most Logistics Coordinators can expect to work 50-70 days per season. September work schedules vary.
- Room and board provided
- Pro deals (the opportunity to purchase outdoor gear at discounted rates),
- Eligible to enroll in 401k after 1 year from your start date
- Professional development funds
- Access to our free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family/household
- 56 hours (7 days) of paid sick time upon hire or at the beginning of each calendar year
This position is located at our High Sierra program base in Midpines, California, in the Sierra Nevada foothills 30 miles east of Yosemite National Park. High summer temperatures are frequently 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. The basecamp has a main building with an office, program gear storage sheds, a commercial kitchen, and weatherport living quarters (durable fabric structures). Trips generally take place in off-the-beaten-path locations within Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, Sierra National Forest, and Yosemite National Park.
