JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Clinical Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse and assist with unit operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in patient care activities, and able to handle emergency situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct patient care and assist with unit operations
  • Manage multiple patient care assignments based on unit acuity and staffing levels
  • Receive and complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Instruct and reinforce appropriate patient care activities under the direction of licensed professionals
  • Respond timely to patient requests and communicate with appropriate caregivers
  • Recognize and perform emergency measures, including CPR when indicated
  • Enter accurate documentation into the electronic medical record
  • Report pertinent patient changes and clinical findings to primary care partners
  • Perform various medical procedures and tasks following established protocols

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Valid Licensure as an EMT in the State of Florida with acute care experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
