Job Description Summary: This position works closely with IS staff to design and implement new technology, maintain infrastructure, monitor performance, assist in troubleshooting applications and systems, and ensures security of the Logan Health network. Qualifications: Minimum of one (1) of the following required: Associates degree in Computer Science. Comparable work experience in a relevant field and certifications equivalent to Cisco CCNA. Excellent customer service, dynamic problem solving, and superior teamwork skills required. Possess knowledge in Enterprise class infrastructure, wired and wireless networks, routing, vlans, firewalls, DLP, and packet capture analysis required. Previous experience in a Network Engineer position preferred. Experience with Cisco equipment and Network troubleshooting tools for performance and issue resolution, VPNs, and site link circuit connectivity preferred. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Job Specific Duties: Works in collaboration with peers, IS staff, staff, and vendors in the maintaining of network operations of local infrastructure and application function in accordance with required specifications and objectives. Assists team members and IS service lines with technical challenges and technology adoption by delivering purpose designed solutions. Maintains fleet controls, security processes and operational check lists to ensure standardized and operationalized systems across the Logan Health system. Serves as a network tier 1 support representative by providing network call and ticket queue daily review and support. Performs network team daily operational check lists and environment review. Enters work orders and assists team members with assignments. Reviews and maintains network work order queue and provides ticket updates and escalation. Hands off escalated issues to senior team members per department protocol. Follows documentation and assists in maintaining accurate procedures with as-built configuration and detailed specifications. Exhibits excellent communication follow up skills and communicates professionally and effectively. Participates in group projects as assigned. Exhibits project management skills, understands, and participates in planning, design, build, testing, end-user training, cutover and go-live. Exhibits knowledge of work plans and manages tasks and timelines. Communicates project status and key issues ensuring projects and reporting are delivered on time. Participates in the operational monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure and systems to meet applicable Federal and State regulations identified by Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) standards and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) frameworks. Maintains a knowledge base of current exploits and vulnerabilities. Assumes full ownership of all outcomes start to finish. Multitasks and prioritizes work while utilizing appropriate critical decision-making skills. Pursues opportunities for self-development and takes responsibility for ongoing enhancement of skills to keep up with industry changes. Stays current with industry trends as it relates to job responsibilities. Provides research on tools and methodologies for network infrastructure, segmentation, and cyber security. Safeguards the security and privacy of patient- and business-confidential information by encrypting, segmenting, and transmitting data through HIPAA compliant and industry best practice secure methodologies. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
