With a high patient turnover rate and a very diverse patient population, our nurses are presented with many learning opportunities. Primary Services are for the adult population whose diagnosis requires expedited evaluation to determine the appropriate inpatient/outpatient intervention. Treatment and procedures require less than 24 hours close observation and less than 18 hours for rapid observation. This is a Weekender Flex opportunity for someone who is looking to have flexibility during their week and provide patient care on the weekends. Our Weekend Flex Program allows caregivers to work two 12-hr shifts per weekend + one 12-hr shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that won't interfere with a typical day shift schedule. Cleveland Clinic will assist you by offering 36 hours of work and we will pay you for 44 hours. The candidate in this role will have a full-time status and all our benefits will be included. Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VARN) program attendance required and obtains either a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) certification upon hire or within a year of hire in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) areas. Any registered nurse or advanced practice nurse must obtain a cancer specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facilities accreditation cycle, if they work in medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer center or cancer clinic and/or administer chemotherapy within an accredited Cleveland Clinic facility. Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Work Experience: Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required for SNF care settings. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience required for rehab care settings. Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings. Will consider licensed military RN experience. Physical Requirements: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
